Atlanta Hawks forward Ivan Johnson has
been fined for directing an obscene
gesture toward fans following the
conclusion of the Hawks 83-80 loss to
the Celtics on May 10 at TD Garden.

| Hawks Owner Gearon Fined for Comments |
Michael Gearon, an owner of the Atlanta
Hawks, has been fined $35,000 for
publicly criticizing NBA officiating and
making negative comments about an
opposing player.

reconsider predictions of sweeps when
Atlanta and Boston meet. They tried it
in 2008 and that series went the
distance. The Hawks remember and are
determined to prove that a lot can and

Ivan Johnson has been named the NBA's
Eastern Conference Rookie of the Month.
Johnson led all rookies in steals (1.45
spg) and paced Eastern Conference
first-year players in field goal
percentage (.582).

The Atlanta Hawks defeated the Dallas
Mavericks on April 26, 2012, at the
Highlight Factory,. 106-89, locking in
homecourt advantage for the first round
of the 2012 NBA Playoffs against the
Boston Celtics.

the Hawks’ final game of the 2011-12
regular season, there will be a familiar
tandem on the court in Atlanta colors.
Josh Smith and Jeff Teague have started
every game this season for the
Hawks.

The Hawks fought and clawed their way to
a 109-102 win over a feisty Clippers
team at the Highlight Factory on Tuesday
night. Joe Johnson led the way with 28
points while Josh Smith added another
double-double (18 points, 10
rebounds).

of their fifth straight playoff

The Highlight Factory certainly lived up
to its name for a Sunday matinee between
the Hawks and Knicks, but Atlanta ended
up on the short end of the stick in a
113-112 loss. Marvin Williams scored a
season-high 29 points and grabbed 11
boards.

The Hawks held off a second-half charge
by a shorthanded Boston Celtics team on
Friday night at the Highlight Factory.
Joe Johnson led the way with 30 points
while Josh Smith added 19 points and 12
rebounds.

The Hawks dominated the Orlando Magic
109-81 on Friday night on the road, led
by a team-high 17 points from Jannero
Pargo. Marvin Williams, Tracy McGrady
and Jerry Stackhouse joined Pargo in
double-figures off the bench.

The Hawks dropped a hard-fought overtime
battle to the Celtics in Boston on
Wednesday night by a final score of
88-86. Jeff Teague finished with a
team-high 21 points and Josh Smith
recorded a double-double (20 pts, 11
reb) to lead Atlanta.

The Hawks hosted their annual "College
Media Day" on March 25, and the team put
on quite a show with a
quadruple-overtime win over the Utah
Jazz.
