| Draft Preview: C.J. McCollum |
| It can’t hurt C.J. McCollum’s draft
stock that guards who went to similarly
small schools, Steph Curry and Damian
Lillard, have had such stunning NBA
success. Keith Langlois looks at
McCollum as the True Blue Pistons draft
preview series continues. |
| A Snap Shot in Time |
| Personnel evaluation is nothing close to
a science – it’s a snap shot of a
player and a projection of what he might
become. The Pistons are more likely to
get a player who lives up to or exceeds
his draft status than one who doesn’t. |
| Draft Preview: Trey Burke |
| The toughest position to project for NBA
scouts is point guard. Trey Burke led
Michigan to the NCAA title game, but
will he be able to cut it in the NBA?
Keith Langlois' True Blue Pistons’
draft preview series continues. |
| Pistons Mailbag - May 22, 2013 |
| Tuesday’s lottery results weren’t
especially kind to the Pistons, who
dropped one spot to No. 8 and stirred up
a wave of Pistons Mailbag traffic. On
with Mailbag … |
| Detroit Pistons to Pick 8th Overall in 2013 NBA Draft |
| The Detroit Pistons hold the eighth,
37th and 56th overall picks in the 2013
NBA Draft after the NBA Draft Lottery
determined the first 14 selections this
evening. |
| Pistons Drop to 8 |
| Just as happened in 2011, the Pistons
went into the lottery in the No. 7
position and dropped to No. 8. If they
had to fall a spot, their timing was
right to do so, Keith Langlois writes
for True Blue Pistons. |
| Lottery Lowdown |
| The Pistons will tell you it’s better
to be lucky on draft night than on
lottery night. Andre Drummond, last
year’s pick when the lottery played to
form and the Pistons stayed at No. 9,
will represent them on stage tonight. |
| Cream of the Crop |
| Kentucky’s Nerlens Noel and Kansas’
Ben McLemore are considered the top two
contenders to become the No. 1 pick.
Keith Langlois looks at them and how
they might fit with the Pistons as True
Blue Pistons launches its 2013 draft
preview series. |
| Numbers Crunching |
| Physical measurements and drills testing
numbers don’t define a player, but
when players like Indiana’s Cody
Zeller and Victor Oladipo put up the
kind of results they turned in at the
NBA draft combine, it can’t hurt their
draft stock. |
| On Point |
| Because their cap space will allow them
to plug urgent needs, the Pistons can
spend their lottery pick on the best
talent regardless of position. Three
point guards – Trey Burke, Michael
Carter-Williams and C.J. McCollum –
just might fit the bill. |
