With the NBA's Collective Bargaining
Agreement settled, we can finally get
some fantasy basketball in. The good
news about starting the season this late
is that the NFL is almost finished in
fantasy terms, so you can pretty much
focus on your basketball team and not
have to worry about the troubles of
juggling two teams and your already busy
schedule. |

| Keeping Them Fine-Tuned |

For athletes, staying fit, healthy and
injury-free is of utmost importance. The
physically demanding nature of NBA
basketball requires a fine-tuned body
capable of surviving 82-plus games each
year. But bumps, bruises and,
unfortunately, injuries are always a
part of each season. Staying healthy
and, where necessary, coming back as
quickly as possible from an injury, are
vital to any team’s success. |

visual reminder, Timberwolves guard

Final 110-102 Suns
The Suns took control early and never
looked back in the eight-point victory
that pushed their record to 11-5 on the
season. Minnesota dropped to 3-10 as
the team could not capitalize on
Jefferson’s 28 points and 17 rebounds.
Phoenix benefited from balance scoring
from its starters. Nash was incredibly
efficient with 20 points on 6-of-10
shooting in only 27 minutes while adding
six assists.

At 7-3, Randy Breuer was one of the
biggest big men in Minnesota Gophers
history. He was also one of the best,
which was confirmed in 1983 when the
Milwaukee Bucks drafted him 18th
overall. Breuer played six and a half
years with the Bucks, excelling as a
hook shooter, assist man and shotblocker
smart enough to sniff out offensive
rotations. But thanks to broken bones
and a coach's pique, Brewer made his way
home to Minnesota and the Wolves'
inaugural 1989-90 squad. |

players born in Canada (Steve Nash,
twice), and Germany (Dirk Nowitzki).
Three of the last six No. 1 overall

Buck: Man, that's a long time ago. 1994.
I wore a lot of sweatsuits, and that's
about it. I don't remember wearing too
much else. Nike sweatsuits, t-shirts. I
wasn't a big NBA fan at all, and I
didn't wear any jerseys. |

| Randy Foye Injury Update |
|
Wolves guard Randy Foye was
re-evaluated by doctors on Monday
morning, who determined that while the
second-year player is still improving,
more time is needed before he can fully
participate.
The good news, according to Wolves
general manager Jim Stack, is that there
is healing going on ... It's just that
more healing needs to take place.
"Randy can amp up his workouts and do
some more activities, but it's probably
going to be a few more weeks," said
Stack. "It's good news, but we still
want to be cautious." |

At the 2006 NBA Draft, Minnesota

Wolves made the deal. |

The Wolves Game Ops group puts team
spirit to music. Every game. And it’s
quite a task. Seated high above the

of the Game Operations team are tasked

Keyboardist Jeff Victor, Apple™ laptop

Bill Beise - Fan Profile

Wolves fans have watched courtside
season-ticket holder Bill Beise

hugging the sideline, pounding the court
with a few rolled-up issues of Hoop

most passionate—if
eccentric—supporters.
He’s not a coach either—but that’s
his nickname to the waiter who brings
his two Pepsis© every game. “One each

Beise says. |
