 Hornets Fall to Rockets in Semifinals
 P.J. Hairston carried the Hornets with a Summer League-high 27 points and Josh Davis had another double-double (18 points, 14 rebounds), but Charlotte was ousted in the semifinals of the 2014 Samsung NBA Summer League Tournament by the Houston Rockets, falling 83-79, on July 21 at Thomas and Mack Center in Las Vegas.

 Knicks Too Much for Hornets in Vegas
 The Hornets were unable to stop an undefeated New York Knicks team despite 18 points a piece from Cody Zeller and P.J. Hairston as they suffered a 95-72 defeat on July 14 at Cox Pavilion in Las Vegas, marking their third-consecutive loss of the 2014 Samsung NBA Summer League.
 Hornets Edged by Kings in Vegas
 The Hornets saw strong efforts by draftees P.J. Hairston (22 points) and Noah Vonleh (10 points, 18 rebounds) but fell short of the Sacramento Kings, 72-65, on July 13 at Cox Pavilion in Las Vegas.
